Problem #1 = PB 2021 includes the option to “Display license agreement”. Trying the Edit, I get "Access violation at address 00000000117F6B0 in module “PBuilder.exe. Read of address 000000000030”
Problem #2 = I have a well formatted Word document which I want to insert somehow as the license agreement. No matter what I tried, no matter what format(s) I tried, I do not get something that looks like the original.
How do I create my license agreement THE EASY WAY ?
Use Word to export your EULA to a RTF file (Rich Text Format).
Or a conversion service online to export to markdown.
For the access violation error, try to use the 32-bit of Paquet Builder to see if it fixed the issue for you.
Thanks, I tried .rtf, a little better but not entirely. The PB EULA editor appears rudimentary, text formatting is not consistent, complains about sequences that have no elements, etc. etc. In contrast, the XLSPadlock also allows definition of an EULA which the user has to accept in order to run the workbook. Is there a more recent PB version where the EULA editor functions like the XLSPadlock one? It would help to define the front end agreement that allows unpacking the files, separate from the runtime EULA that allows running the workbook.
The XLS Padlock editor uses RTF.
PB uses Markdown. But the editor will get an update in the incoming PB 2024.
