Key Highlights
Advanced Code Signing Enhancements
- Expanded Signing Tool Options: In addition to GSignCode, you can now use Microsoft’s SignTool to sign your executables. Be sure to check out our dedicated help section for instructions on using SignTool.
- Azure Trusted Signing Integration: We’re taking a step into the cloud with preliminary support for Azure Trusted Signing. Our comprehensive Azure Trusted Signing tutorial guides you through integrating this service for a smooth code signing experience.
- PFX Password Issue Resolved: We’ve fixed the problem that affected password-protected PFX certificates, so signing is now more reliable than ever.
Additional Improvements and Fixes
- Updated UPX Compressor: We’ve updated the UPX tool to its latest version, delivering improved compression performance.
- MPRESS Removed: Since UPX now fully supports x64 architectures, the MPRESS option has been removed.
- Enhanced Build Feedback: The installer UI now clearly shows “Code Signing XX…” during the signing process, providing better transparency.
- New Directive Options: We’ve added options including UIModern, TrustSignEndpoint, TrustSignCodeSigningAccountName, TrustSignCertificateProfileName, and SignToolCmd for further customization.
- Bug Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where multivolume archives could unexpectedly fail with error (-2147467259).
- Fixed a bug that prevented full substitution of resource strings in compiled packages.
- Removed the confirmation prompt in Environment Options when the UI theme wasn’t changed.
- Improved error messaging by converting a fatal error (when no files are specified for compression) into a warning, making troubleshooting easier.
