I have just tried to open an xls padlock workbook. But the splash screen stays there for over a minute and will not open. I am using windows 10 & excel 2013 32-bit.
None of my xls padlock workbooks will open. It just stays on the splash screen. I have hundreds of workbooks.

I was using the avast anti-virus software - premium. It was controlling the Windows Firewall. I reverted it back to the ‘free’ version. Now the files open in 10 - 15 seconds.
Make also sure that you are using the latest version of XLS Padlock 2018.2. It offers an improved decompression speed.
