After activation program disappears

Spreadsheet activated. When client activated an excel window opens with instructions to run the file but after a few seconds it disappears without any message stops working. The same thing happens every time.
MS Office version: 2019

What can be done to prevent it? He disabled antivirus program.
 
I have the same problem. My executable is disappearing when I try to open it.

I am using XLS padlock 2024.3

I even tried the simplest case - open excel, type “hi”, save, launch excel padlock, compile, close everything, launch exe → error message "windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. I click “ok”, then the file disappears from the folder.

Any advice?
 
I have some ideas:
  • some clients reported that they have used Open Office before instaling Microsoft Office, maybe xlsx/xlsm files are not opened by proper program?
  • maybe antivirus software deletes macros?

Thanks - I’m trying to look at our antivirus software.
 
If antivirus deletes files, exe does not seem to be digitally signed. Right click the exe, Properties, Digital Signatures tab should be there with signature details.
 
I have been able to work with our IT department to whitelist my XLS padlock programs. So I’m pretty sure it was our anti-virus system deleting the files.

We also recommend you to digitally sign your EXE files if possible. XLS Padlock 2025 will also provide support for Azure Trust Signing, which offers Microsoft-verified certificates at ~ 10 USD per month compared to the 400 USD per year some certificates cost.
