Excel not recognised/found by xls padlock

I have tried compiling a half dozen different worksheets, none run with excel . I have installed the hard drive local version of excel countless times in accordance with instructions, yet xls padlock will not run a complied worksheet. And curiously when I tried to reinstall xls padlock the first thing on clicking on install.exe was a pop up saying xls padlock installer could not find excel, ??? I have deactivated onedrive and run all worksheets on my local hardrive the onedrive is completely disconnected, what is going on?? The use of my license is slipping away. It cost a lot to buy the software with AUD to convert to Euros and it is expensive software anyway, but In the 5 years and 3 licenses I have never got it to work satisfactorily; a lot of wasted money, I want answers and solutions I have paid a lot of money for nothing. This is not good enough.
