Hello I am having issues with my publication using custom fonts, I am using the relative path url(http://heserver/fonts/cocon-regular-webfont-webfont.eot); and registered the content file type .WOFF/.WOFF2 as a virtual file and also tried thebuilt in with server but my publication still does not use the font i set.

The URL you posted is an absolute one, not a relative.
Custom fonts work if the IE engine can find the .EOT file. No need to register .WOFF/.WOFF2.
Make sure .EOT is set to “Extract to file” in the Content Filetypes / Special Extension list of your project.
