Is HTMLEXE dead?

It is April 2023, and I would like to get updates from the developers on the status of “HTMLEXE 2022”. I am one of those people wondering why I purchased “maintenance subscription” last year if the updated product was not released. An honest answer about the future of this product would be appreciated.

No, it is not dead. We are going to release a new Beta 2023 with WebView2 engine integrated, so that’s the latter that took more time than expected:


We are able to achieve good compatibility between options for the Chromium and WebView2 engines, so that you can easily switch between engines for your projects.
The WebView2 engine is clearly a great addition as it does not require you to ship Chromium CEF files with the EXE file, as Microsoft deploys the WebView2 engine on all Windows computers with Windows Update.
We expect to release the new Beta soon, in addition to several bug fixes reported by testers.
