Hi team. I am planning to purchase an XLS padlock license for the commercial sale of my workbook. I observed that registered downloads are only allowed if you have a maintenance plan. Does this mean the hardware locked keys feature using the key generator (included in registered downloads) or online activation kit (again included in registered downloads) stops working for new customers after 1 year?

I am ready to pay a one-time price for the software. But since my product is only a one-time purchase, it makes no sense to upgrade yearly for a huge cost. I am fine with missing out on updates, Woo Kit, FastSpring Kit and priority support. But I want my main application built on XLS padlock to keep generating keys automatically, and it should work uninterruptedly.

Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks.

You’re correct that access to registered downloads (including the latest installers, WooCommerce Kit, FastSpring Kit, priority support, etc.) requires an active maintenance plan. However, once you have downloaded and installed the Key Generator (for hardware-locked keys) and/or the Online Activation Kit, those components will continue to function indefinitely—even if your maintenance plan expires after one year. In other words, your end customers will still be able to generate and validate license keys without interruption.
