Next exeouput release?

We’re going to release ExeOutput 2024 first with 32-bit and PHP 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 support, and updated Chromium. The new version will also include a local webserver so that compiled PHP scripts can be invoked by other applications.
64-bit is still on our TODO list, but later if we manage to upgrade all components of ExeOutput.

I really wish there’d be an option to choose newer CEF than just 109 (earlier post gdgsupport mentioned they wanna still continue windows 7 support which is pretty much obsolete as Win7 official support has ended half decade ago). Instead, EU forced Microsoft to enable option to remove Edge out of Win10/11 in EU region so I guess WebView would’t be available on all of those computers. Also newest CEF would bring today’s css & js features…!

Altho I don’t wanna dispirit you guys or anything, but DGD has been talking about next ExeOutput release to come up within “few weeks” for about three years now, so don’t hold your breath - next release will prolly be bundled with valve’s Half Life 3 😄

WebView2 is part of the Windows core system now. They just hide Edge, but it is still in Windows. It’s like for IE: they just hid IE but it always remained there. For instance, its engine Trident was powering HTML Help (and Trident is even still available in Windows 11…).
