Shown to contain LatentBot malware

I had my compiled software flagged as a virus by BitDefender. Uploading it to virustotal showed no viruses, the behavior showed a critical match for the LatentBot malware.


I don’t think this can just be passed off as a “false positive”
In fact, they list it as unlikely to be a false positive and say the problem lies in TargetFilename:C:\ProgramData\GDG Software\ExeOutput for PHP App Cache\CEF890150\chrome_elf.dll

Still it’s a false positive from BitDefender because chrome_elf.dll is a component of the CEF from Bitbucket
It’s an open-source DLL file widely used in a lot of apps (and probably in this malware too).
Please contact your BitDefender vendor to report the false positive and they will fix it.
