[XLS 2025.0] Unable to compile : Add-in has fired an exception - System Error code 5

Hello,

I am no longer longer able to compile my files anymore (I don't know exactly when the problem started, I used it a couple of months ago and it was ok). I am using XLS Padlock 2025.0 and everything seems to be working:
1745398136789.webp

However, when I try to compile a file from MS Excel, the following message displays:
1745398120614.webp

I tried to quit MS OneDrive just in case but it din't change anything. I had the same problem yesterday with the 2024.3 version, and thought that it was a problem due to the version but it does not seem to be the case and I didn't find any information about it on the internet.

Is there a solution for this issue ?

PS : I am French and my English might not be perfect - please excuse me for any "weird" sentences !

Have you tried to move the workbook file to a local folder? Accès refusé means that another running application is blocking access to the source file. You can use the File Locksmith utility in Microsoft PowerToys. It helps you identify which processes are locking a file, and allows you to unlock it without needing to reboot or use complex tools.

To find it:
  1. Make sure you have PowerToys installed and updated.
  2. Open PowerToys and go to the File Locksmith section in the left-hand menu.
  3. Once enabled, you can right-click any file or folder in File Explorer and select "What's locking this file?" to see which processes are using it.
It’s a simple and effective way to free up locked files.
