Today I received another complaint from a customer getting the error:
“access violation at address 75A213CB in module ‘kernelbase.dll’. read of address 00000004”
I read one other post on this topic but I didn’t find a clear answer for what is causing this.
I believe both are using windows 10 excel 2016 and it’s happened with key-protected and unprotected “tester” versions of my product.
Thank you!
Question: which version of XLS Padlock are you using?
I believe they were made with this version:
- [Version 2018.0] released on February 23rd, 2018
I haven’t tried to remake the product with the latest version. Would you expect that to make a difference for this error?
Well, we always recommend using latest versions of our products. Especially with XLS Padlock: Excel through the Office 365 is now updated each month, Windows 10 two times per year, so staying up-to-date is important.
