Disable "cell copy and cut to clipboard" command not protecting cells

After “protecting” multiple workbooks, I realized that by clicking the select all box (between the 1 and A on the rows and columns) allows the copy function, thus defeating the whole purpose of protection.

version 2018.2
version 1906 (Build 11727.20230)
 
I would but the “get data” bug with the internet explorer error message hasn’t been fixed in 2019. Does the “disable cut and copy” bug exist in all the previous versions prior to 2018.2 ?

We do not know. However, 2019.1 will be released this week and bring the fix for that “get data” IE bug.
