I’m wondering if it’s possible to use 64-bit version of PHP and PHP Extensions. The issue is an extension I’m trying to load has dependencies which are 64-bit on most of my customer machines. Is it possible to use 64-bit versions of PHP?

No, currently it’s 32-bit only. But if we get enough requests for it, we’ll try offer 64-bit support.
