First-time use: attempting to reassemble piece files using GUnite

I now have 3 piece files, and when I attempt to reassemble them using GUnite I get the message:

This piece file does not contain the GSplit tags required by GUnite. It cannot be united automatically.
Please select another piece file.

I (now) see that the “Do not add GSplit tags to piece files” checkbox was checked (unfortunately), and cannot be modified, for some unknown reason.

Can I specify the tag parameters manually to restore my single (large) file from the 3 pieces? And how, and what, etc.

In your case, you can merge all piece files together and you’ll get your original file back.

Use copy /b for instance
