Folders tree created even though the Component variable is set to "0"

Hello,

When the “Store paths relative to the source folder defined in “Global Properties”” is set for a component, the folder tree structure is created even though the Component variable (%VCOMP…%) is set to “0” (by the user’s choice or by a custom action). This lead to empty folders.

How can we avoid this apart using some custom actions to delete this empty folders after extraction?

It’s because when compressing files, 7-Zip stores folder structure in the 7z archive attached to the EXE file. During unpack, the folder structure is restored before files. The sole workaround is to use a custom action Delete Folders as you do.
We’re looking into a solution for this specific problem in a future release.
