Not sure where to request a refund

I bought this software about an hour ago and have had multiple issues with it right away.

Would like to simply get a refund and unistall.

Immediately after installation - I could not save any file. It would shut down the program. Finally did a save as before anything was typed.

Then I go to simply add file and it crashes again.

Honestly, don’t have the time or interest to debug. Would just like a refund and move on.

Sorry to hear about these problems. Our software is very stable though.
If you have crashes, it is possible that another intrusive software can make it crash, like a security software (antivirus for example).
Anyway, I advise you to install this version of Paquet Builder: https://download.gdgsoftware.com/pb/pbinst.exe
after having uninstalled the current one.

If your problem persists, we will proceed to a refund.

To begin - I wanted to thank you for the suggestion to download the different version.

That did help and it let us work with the program.

Unfortunately, it is not what we were looking for.

The situation is this.

We are trying create something that would archive a file in ZIP format - upload it to our website -

and then when the user clicks the link, it will download easily.

From there, the user simply clicks the ZIP file and it extracts. But, this is where things get trickier.

Inside of the packed file, we have an executable to install our runtime software - datasheets - and graphics.

Apparently, this cannot be done by Paquet which is the whole reason we bought the program.

So, if you would be so kind to issue a refund, I would appreciate it.

All the best, Mike

Unfortunately, you can never have a zip file that extracts itself without the user choosing where he wants to extract and again it depends on the utility he chooses. Moreover, a lot of antivirus can also block EXE files that run from a Zip archive.

If I understand your problem correctly, you want to pack the executable file that installs your runtime software and the rest: datasheets - and graphics into an installer, so that the end user doesn’t have to care about installing files or choosing a destination folder. Just run and use.

It is quite possible with Paquet Builder to do this and generate an EXE file that will be accepted by browsers and even companies that have restrictive policies on their network. To convince you, just take our own executable file that allowed you to install Paquet Builder: you were able to install it without any problems and yet it is an executable file and not a zip file.

This is possible because we signed our executable file with a code certificate that authenticates our company and guarantees users that it is safe to use our software. Moreover, as you can imagine, this executable file was created with Paquet Builder, which itself proceeded to sign the code from our certificate.

I think you could achieve your initial goal with Paquet Builder. You just need to learn how to use it or ask us for help to do that. However, if you feel that it is not enough for you or you do not have time for that, we will refund your license even though the software is functional.

Thank you.
