See new site and says V2 released

Seeing new site about V2 release but cannot login to it. Also see about logging in so site v1 but after logging in only see beta version?

What am I missing?
 
I’ve not yet received an official email announcing V2, but being so eager I just downloaded it from the v2 site as soon as I spotted it, completely uninstalled BETA 5, then installed the new V2. Everything seems to have worked okay - I already had a license for v2 and upon checking in v2 “About this program” menu option it showed up as registered, so all good at this end.

I did logon to the old v1 site first, and like you say, the only version available to download from there at the moment was beta 3, although in the info it did say I was registered for v2 and showed when my license ends.

So I guess you can do the same as me!

Good news is that the SELECT dropdown issue is fixed - really pleased about that, and scrolling now works fine on XP in the file explorer windows too - massive thanks to the developers for fixing everything & getting V2 out as promised!!

On the downside I’m noticing a change in behavior with opening popup windows - I have a popup triggered to open & close from a checkbox in my interface - unchecking to close it works fine, but checking the box to open it doesn’t - I’ll check the project settings & do some more tests to confirm the issue and report back later today.

Quick question for the dev though: is there any reason popup behavior might have changed between beta 5 & the new official V2 - maybe due to the dropdown fix? Is there a new setting somewhere or something I might be missing?

Okay, so I just rolled back to BETA 5 to double check opening popups did work as expected - and they definitely do.

Upon rolling back to BETA 5 it did ask me to install the XP compatibility pack again, which I assume has already been updated on the server to reflect the latest fixes for the new V2 - so when I compiled not only did opening popups work as expected, but the SELECT dropdown issue was fixed too. Obviously the XP scrollbar issue in ExeOut interface is back again, but no major stress there.

So, right now it does seem like there could be an issue with popup behavior with exes compiled in the new V2, but it’s nothing to do with the select dropdown fix - possibly a setting somewhere? - I’ll take a screen shot of my current settings & reinstall the latest V2 again now and see if I can spot anything. (probably worth noting, I’m working with skins completely disabled)

For the dev, out of interest, could you confirm the issues that were fixed in the latest version?

Okay, so I’m now back on the latest version and popups are working as expected now… no idea why… very strange, but all good - so nothing to panic about there!

A couple of minor remaining issues I’ve noticed though - and these could just be XP related:
  1. The compilation log DOES show immediately on XP when you compile now - but the checkbox still has no effect, so if I’d rather not have it shown, I can’t disable that behavior. In BETA 5 it was the other way round, the compilation log didn’t display regardless of the checkbox.
  2. The XP scrollbar drag issue also affects the compilation log - apologies, I forgot to mention that before - I can only scroll with the mousewheel.
Apart from those very minor issues, now the weird popup issue seems to be resolved, everything seems to be working as expected.

So, here’s a huge thanks to Guillaume and all the developers involved, you’ve done a top job. I’ll be doing some serious soak testing over the next few months and hopefully have something ready to release soon. 😀

Please retry, you were probably on the old version of the website. Anyway, since you were playing with the Beta, you should already have your activation code to log in: check your old emails.
 
Great news about the menu issue @kim! Thanks for sharing, can’t wait to try it myself. Just cannot yet get logged in to V2 site…
 
Think I have it figured out after reading @kim post again. Got V2 and on my way. But still have no access to V2 site…

Thank @gdgsupport for this huge release! Much appreciated all the hard work you guys put into it.

I was having the same problem, but just realized there’s a new activation code sent out in an email - and it’s slightly different to the new one shown on the V1 site. (I’d previously tried both)

Check your email for the correct new code & it should work fine. 😉

Both of you should have received your email now. It looks like it’s OK for kim and what about you Susan?
 
@gdgsupport I did get the email, in my box this morning. Still cannot login, get the notice as shown in screenshot above.

Downloaded V2 trial and after installing looks like converted to full. Did not have to enter any new activation codes.
 
So you already have your activation code. It’s in the email you received. You can’t miss it because it appears several times in the email’s body!
 
Not trying to argue the fact that I have code. Was simply letting you know that could not log into members area. Thought it might be something you wish to know.
